Central Islip N.Y. – Recently the Islip Town Fire Museum Received a special visit from the 343 Memorial Truck. The truck made a visit for a few hours and was put on display at a meeting held at the museum. The rig is a 1984 Pumper that served time in Chappaqua NY. The rig now privately owned by a former FDNY firefighter was converted into a memorial to remember those 343 members of FDNY lost. All 343 are listed on the truck Starting with FDNY Chaplin Mychal Judge and working its way down through all the engine companies and ladder companies as well as the chiefs lost on that day.
