WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - The 20th Annual Connecticut State Firefighters Memorial Service was held at the Connecticut Fire Academy on September 25th. This year, four firefighters were honored for their sacrifices: George W. Brown-Muddy Brook Fire-Woodstock, CT; Samuel E. Cotter-Ansonia Fire-Ansonia, CT; William T. Halstead, Sr.-Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue-Newtown, CT; Colin J. McFadden-Burlington Volunteer Fire Department-Burlington, CT.
