Jersey City Remembers 9/11 at Empty Sky Memorial

Jersey City, N.J.  On September 10th, first responders and their families, along with local officials gathered at the Empty Sky Memorial in Liberty State Park to remember New Jersey residents and first responders that were loss due to the September 11th, 2001, attacks on our country. Members of deceased first responders spoke of their loved ones and read poems. Jersey City Battalion Chief Richard Gorman, who responded and worked "The Pile" at Ground Zero, was honored to speak and lead the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance. One of the many remarks heard included, "First responders gave their all for strangers."
