Norway has been called the "Snowshoe Capital of the World" because of local shoe manufacturing. It is currently home to a New Balance manufacturing facility. Most recent census data shows that 5077 people call this beautiful town home.
Fire Rescue services are provided by a 35-member call department under the supervision of a full-time Fire Chief. They operate with three pumpers, one tower ladder, one tanker, and a squad. A new Pierce Saber has been ordered to replace thirty-year-old Engine 2.
Emergency Medical Services for the town are provided by Pace Ambulance. Both agencies are dispatched by the Oxford County RCC.
