Lancaster Fire Members Take Part in 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

September 6, 2026 — Lancaster, New Hampshire: In remembrance of the firemen who gave their lives on September 11, 2001, members of the Lancaster Fire Department and their families participated in a 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, ascending the equivalent of 110 storeys.
Explorer Collin Milligan, Firefighter Mat Forest, and Lt. Ian Milligan all took part in the climb with their families. Through the event, the Lancaster Fire Department also gathered money to help the families of firefighters who have lost their lives.
As per the department's tweet, the event had raised over $36,000. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation's Memorial Stair Climbs honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who died on September 11 by having participants climb or walk the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. The events help support programs for Fire Hero Families and firefighters.
The Lancaster Fire Department thanked everyone who donated and supported its participation in the memorial event.
