Littleton, NH - Two juveniles suffered severe traumatic injuries Tuesday afternoon following a violent head-on dirt bike collision on a private property situated off Slate Ledge Road, prompting a department-wide recall of emergency personnel and rapid aeromedical coordination.

Emergency units from Littleton Fire Rescue and the Littleton Police Department were dispatched to the incident shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, after Grafton County Dispatch broadcast reports of two unresponsive patients.

In response to the scale of the emergency, Lieutenant Piscitelli transmitted a General Alarm to recall all off-duty full-time and on-call firefighters, dispatching Ambulances 2 and 3 along with Car 2 and Engine 1 to the scene.

Arriving paramedics encountered two juvenile victims presenting with major traumatic injuries and immediately initiated aggressive Advanced Life Support (ALS) interventions.

Recognizing the severity of the patients' conditions, Deputy Chief Hartwell declared two "Red" trauma alerts with Littleton Regional Healthcare and requested aeromedical evacuation through the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART).

Both youth patients were rapidly stabilized at Littleton Regional Healthcare before being transferred by air and critical ground transport to the level-one facilities at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

Back in town, recalled personnel staffed Ambulance 1 to ensure uninterrupted emergency coverage across the Grafton County municipality, while New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officers responded to investigate the off-road collision.
