On Sunday, members of the Lake Delta Fire Department had their yearly Family Clambake Picnic with friends and family.

Members and their families came together for a day of celebration, food, and camaraderie. Additionally, Lake Delta donated $500 to the Booneville Fire Company's recovery fund at the event.

Special prizes were given to a number of department members. Joe Taylor, a life member and paramedic, and Bill Hoag, a life member and former chief, were recognized for their contributions. Matt Malorzo, a former member, was also honored for his contributions to the department's expansion. The department expressed gratitude to Norris, Doug Whitmore, and their team for handling the event's setup, cleaning, and food preparation.

Senator Joe Griffo, Lee Fire Commissioners Pat Hetherington and Tracy Carpenter, Western Fire Chief Mike Anania, Believe 271 Board President Fred Sherman, and State Fire Instructor Steve Stickler were among the special visitors.

The yearly picnic gave Lake Delta members, families, and visitors a chance to honor the department's members and the bonds forged within the local fire service community.
