ANGOLA, N.Y. — August 19 — Members of the Angola Volunteer Fire Department participated in a training session focused on auto-extrication. This exercise allowed the team to review rescue methods and gain more experience with the tools used during vehicle accidents.
The training was designed to refresh skills necessary for rescuing individuals trapped after a collision.
Firefighters practiced using rescue tools safely, positioning equipment properly, stabilizing vehicles, and working together in a simulated accident environment.
For both firefighters and emergency medical services personnel, this hands-on training reinforced important procedures that might be required during real motor-vehicle emergencies.
It also provided an opportunity to use rescue equipment in a controlled setting before facing such situations under pressure.
