ANGOLA, N.Y. — August 14 — The Angola Volunteer Fire Department kept the memory of two local public-safety professionals, Terry Addison and Paul Puccia, alive on the anniversary of their deaths, which occurred on August 14, 2002.

Addison was an officer with the Town of Evans Police Department.

According to the department's official history, he passed away in August 2002 as a result of an off-duty motorcycle accident.In honor of his service, the department later named one of its comfort dogs "Addison," continuing to honor his contributions to the community.
