BAY HEAD, NJ— August 15 — The Bay Head Fire Company is celebrating Firefighter Connor Feehan as he starts a new phase in his fire service career with the Charleston Fire Department in South Carolina, as stated in the announcement for this story.

This transition represents the next stage in Feehan's journey, as he joined Bay Head Fire Company No.

1 during the summer of 2025.According to Bay Head Borough records, Feehan was officially appointed as a volunteer firefighter on August 4, 2025.

Feehan recently completed the Ocean County Fire Academy.

He was one of three Bay Head firefighters—Feehan, Jessica Gaestel, and Courtland Hackel—who graduated from the academy on June 30, 2026.Ocean County noted that 30 recruits received their fire company badges during the graduation ceremony.

Following his academy training, Feehan participated in further hands-on instruction.

In May, he joined Bay Head firefighters at the FDNY Fire Academy on Randall's Island for a day of specialized training.The session included exercises such as victim searches, vehicle extrication, rope rescue, rappelling, and operations in smoke and fire conditions.
