South Brunswick First Responders Enjoy a Night With the Community

MONMOUTH JUNCTION, NJ — August 4, 2026 — At the township's yearly National Nite Out at Rowland Park on Tuesday, firefighters from the Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department joined other South Brunswick emergency service organizations.


Along with the South Brunswick Police Department, Monmouth Junction First Aid Squad, Kendall Park Volunteer Fire Company, and Kingston Volunteer Fire Company, Monmouth Junction members attended.


Firefighters spent the evening talking with locals, showing off their equipment, and giving equipment demos. Additionally, members engaged in friendly rivalry with other first responders.


South Brunswick's National Night Out was held from 6 to 9 p.m. at Rowland Park on Broadway Road. The event included interactive displays from local fire departments and first aid squads, along with police demonstrations, games, carnival rides, bounce houses, music and other family activities.


One of the event's featured activities was a tug-of-war competition involving police, fire and EMS, giving first responders a chance to compete while interacting with the community.
