Ready for the Big Water Move: Laurence Harbor Refreshes Tanker Skills

LAURENCE HARBOR, NJ — August 18, 2026 — Tuesday was the annual Tanker Task Force training refresher for Laurence Harbor firemen, with an emphasis on water-supply operations and equipment and personnel preparation for situations requiring a coordinated tanker response.


Practical work with drafting pools and tanker operations was part of the training. According to the department, the purpose of the refresher is to ensure that personnel and equipment are prepared for Tanker Task Force assignments.


According to the Laurence Harbor Fire Department, Morganville Fire Company provided drafting pools and a tanker to help with the exercise.
