BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Aug. 4 — Two members of the Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company achieved a significant accomplishment by successfully finishing the New Jersey State Firefighter I course.

Firefighters Shaun McMorrow and Shravan Naarayan completed all the necessary training and obtained their Firefighter I certification.

This achievement was the result of many hours spent in classroom lessons, practical skill sessions, studying, and taking exams to prepare for the duties involved in firefighting.

The New Jersey Firefighter I certification program included the state-approved Firefighter I curriculum, as well as training on Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations.

Candidates were also required to pass state exams that assessed their understanding of the job requirements, knowledge, and skills needed for the certification.

For volunteer firefighters, completing the Firefighter I course required a substantial commitment beyond their regular work, school, and family obligations.

The training equipped McMorrow and Naarayan with the essential knowledge and skills needed to further develop their abilities in the fire service.

The Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company serves the communities of Bridgewater and Branchburg and has been in operation since 1953.

The company’s official member list included McMorrow and Naarayan as probationary members.

The fire company expressed its congratulations to both firefighters and acknowledged their hard work and dedication.

Completing Firefighter I was another important step in their growth and added more trained personnel to the company’s volunteer team.
