Holland, NJ - On August 13, 2026, in Hunterdon County, Holland Township Volunteer Fire Company participated in joint training operations alongside Pattenburg Fire Company and Bloomsbury Hose Company #1 at an acquired structure.

The training was designed to provide members with realistic, hands-on experience in a controlled environment, allowing crews to operate in conditions that closely simulate an active working structure fire. Using the acquired structure, firefighters were able to safely practice and refine essential fireground skills while working in unfamiliar layouts and environments.

Training evolutions included advancing charged hoselines into the structure, conducting coordinated search and rescue operations, performing victim removal techniques, ladder operations, and emergency window egress onto ground ladders. Crews also focused on improving communication, accountability, and overall incident coordination between companies operating together on scene.

Throughout the exercise, emphasis was placed on teamwork, safety, and efficient fireground decision-making, ensuring that all participating departments were prepared for real-world emergency responses requiring mutual aid support.

The training also strengthened interoperability between Holland Township Volunteer Fire Company, Pattenburg Fire Company, and Bloomsbury Hose Company #1, reinforcing shared tactics and improving overall operational effectiveness during multi-company incidents.
