Wildwood, NJ - On August 19 in Cape May County, members of the Cape May County Urban Search & Rescue Team (CMC USAR), including personnel from the City of Wildwood Fire Department, participated in a structural collapse training exercise at an acquired structure.
The drill focused on technical rescue operations associated with structural collapse incidents, allowing responders to train in realistic conditions that simulate high-risk environments. Crews worked through coordinated scenarios designed to strengthen situational awareness, hazard recognition, and specialized rescue techniques.
Training at an acquired structure provided valuable hands-on experience, enabling personnel to refine their skills in a controlled yet practical setting. The exercise emphasized teamwork, communication, and precision in complex rescue operations.
