Wayne Fire Company No.4 honored John "JB" Babitz on August 4 for his 60 years of dedicated volunteer service to the fire company and Wayne Township. Babitz began his service with Preakness Volunteer Fire Company No. 4 in 1966 and took on various leadership roles throughout his career.He served as company chief for three years and also worked as the Wayne Township fire commissioner.
