Salem, NJ — August 18 — Elsinboro Fire Company conducted a water-supply training exercise in Salem, New Jersey, on August 18, with an emphasis on drafting operations and the movement of water.During the session, members used a tanker and drafting equipment to practice the techniques required to secure a dependable water supply during emergencies when hydrants were not available or insufficient.The hands-on training included setting up equipment, moving water, and maintaining an efficient water supply operation.

This training allowed firefighters to gain experience with the equipment and procedures in a controlled environment before they might need to apply these skills during a real incident.

Consistent practice helped the crew become more familiar with their apparatus and water-supply operations.

Elsinboro Fire Company served as the host department for the training, and no mutual-aid departments were involved in the session.

The company functions as an all-volunteer organization providing fire, emergency medical services, and marine support to the residents of Elsinboro Township.
