Salem, NJ — August 11 — Elsinboro Fire Company was honored with the New Jersey Governor’s Award for Safety and Health Performance on August 11.This award acknowledged the company's dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.


The recognition emphasized the value of organized safety initiatives, reducing hazards, and preventing injuries.

The award program in New Jersey was managed by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, with assistance from OSHA and the New Jersey State Industrial Safety Committee.


For the members of Elsinboro Fire Company, the award illustrated the company's comprehensive approach to safety, including training, the use of personal protective equipment, a culture of accountability, proper equipment maintenance, and safer procedures during emergency responses.


The company functions as a fully volunteer fire and EMS service for Elsinboro Township.

No mutual-aid departments were involved since this was an award ceremony, not an emergency call.
