Ridgewood, NJ - On August 5 in Bergen County, Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47’s B Platoon conducted specialized training focused on ladder truck roof operations and window rescue techniques.

The training session emphasized safe and effective aerial apparatus operations, including roof access procedures, ventilation practices, and coordinated window rescue evolutions. Firefighters worked through practical drills involving positioning, deployment, and movement on the ladder truck, reinforcing essential truck company skills used during structure fire incidents.

Utilizing the department’s onsite training tower, crews were able to conduct realistic, hands-on exercises without the need to leave fire headquarters when required. This setup allowed for efficient training delivery while maintaining operational readiness for emergency response.
