Vernon, VT. — August 4 — In honor of a member who had lived in Vernon his entire life, the Vernon Fire Department highlighted EMT Kaeden Harris in its member spotlight. In an effort to give back to the community, Harris joined the department in 2026. He was employed part-time by O&H Industries and full-time with Cheshire County EMS as an EMT. Outside of emergency services, Harris liked to go camping, hiking, and skiing.

In addition, he had undertaken two visits to Cuba as a volunteer for a foundation that taught sports in underprivileged areas. His community service and EMS background gave Vernon's volunteer fire service another qualified response.
