Wyomissing, PA. — July 27 — To educate kids about fire safety, the Wyomissing Fire Department paid a visit to Learning Ladder Academy. In addition to answering inquiries and introducing pupils to the tools used in emergency situations, firefighters gave basic safety advice. The kids also got to know department personnel and had a close-up look at fire equipment. Students got a hands-on look at firefighting and the tools used to keep the neighborhood safe during the tour.

The Wyomissing Fire Department served the boro and its environs with emergency services and fire protection from its headquarters at 1259 Penn Ave. Community fire safety visits encouraged young kids to learn about prevention, readiness, and safe actions during emergencies while also assisting firemen in building relationships with locals.
