West Reading, PA. — July 15 — For a three-day training session, the West Reading Fire Department dispatched Lieutenant 64 Jamauri Key and Deputy Chief 64 Jeff Reinert to the FDNY Training Academy, also referred to as "The Rock." Engine and truck company operations, including strategies for low staffing and coordinated work with full eight-person crews, were taught by FDNY instructors. Members of West Reading gained practical knowledge with FDNY firefighters' operational techniques thru the training.

In order to promote ongoing training and preparedness, the department intended to provide the teachings to its members. Additionally, the application made it possible for firefighters and other emergency service members to share ideas. The address of the West Reading Fire Department was 223 Playground Drive.
