New Brighton, PA. — August 10 — After being appointed fire chief of the Aliquippa Bureau of Fire, firefighter Brent Peacock received recognition from the New Brighton Fire Department. Peacock was sworn in during the City Council meeting by Aliquippa Mayor Dwan B. Walker. Peacock has spent almost thirty years working in emergency services.

He started out as a paramedic in the 1990s, worked for Beaver County Emergency Services as a crew chief, and joined Aliquippa as a firefighter in 2006. In 2019, he received a promotion to captain, and in June 2026, he was appointed interim chief. Peacock's appointment was a turning point in his career helping communities in Beaver County with fire and emergency medical services.
