Citizens Volunteer Fire Company — July 13 — Austin Neely, a member of the Citizens Volunteer Fire Company, received recognition after completing his Firefighter I certification after months of academic and practical training.

Neely juggled his coursework at Kennedy-Dunham High School with the rigorous firefighter training. His commitment and the assistance he and his family have given since joining the organization were acknowledged by the department.

Neely and his family have continuously volunteered to assist the department with emergency operations, fundraising, and other tasks, according to the agency.

Members looked forward to Neely's ongoing growth in the fire department and congratulated him on attaining this significant milestone.
