On August 3, Tommy Tryon Jr., a member of the Croydon Fire Company, was sent off to join the United States Marine Corps.
The nite before he started his military service, Tryon responded to one more alarm with his family from the Croydon Fire Company. As he assumes his new duty serving the nation, department members expressed their pride and acknowledged his services to the community.
