On July 19, Thomaston Fire & EMS used Main Street in Rockland, which was blocked for the city's Sunday Stroll festival, for a training exercise.

Firefighters were able to practice operational planning and receive training in an area they would come across during emergency operations. Additionally, crews trained alongside Camden Fire & Rescue personnel, giving departments a chance to collaborate and improve coordination.

Thomaston Fire & EMS expressed gratitude to the Rockland Police Department and Rockland Fire & EMS Department for granting access to the area and facilitating the training opportunity.
