On July 18, the Vassalboro Fire Department concluded its Basic Pump Operations course, which gave new recruits several days of training on pump operation techniques and equipment understanding.

Before participating in the final practical assessment necessary for Basic Pump Operations certification, members underwent both classroom and practical instruction. The goal of the course was to improve firefighters' capacity to use pumping equipment in emergency situations in a safe and efficient manner.

The department complimented the MFSI instructors for offering the course and acknowledged its members for their dedication to training.
