North Yarmouth Fire Rescue Added New Tank-53

North Yarmouth, Maine — July 27 — Tank-53, a brand-new water tank truck with 2,500 gallons, was delivered to North Yarmouth Fire Rescue. A 1,500 gpm pump, 30 gallons of Class A foam, 1,200 feet of 5-inch supply line, and multiple preconnected handlines were also included in the device. A 2,500-gallon portable tank for rural water delivery operations was also carried by it.


With the recognizable insignia on the new equipment, Tank-53 carried on the department's custom of dubbing its tank trucks "Water Hog." Over the next few weeks, members started the mandatory driver training before putting the truck into full duty. The department's water supply resources for North Yarmouth fireground operations were increased with the new tanker.
