On August 4, Pownal Fire Department personnel finished equipment and truck inspections before participating in a practical training session.
During a fitness exercise along Depot Street, firefighters practiced moving in full protective gear while using self-contained breathing equipment (SCBA). Additionally, Assistant Chief Mattison included confined-space components in the training, allowing participants to overcome extra obstacles while donning their equipment.
