Warren, VT. — July 22 — In order to improve rural response skills, the Warren Vol. Fire Department carried out a number of practical fireground exercises as part of its ongoing training program. Firefighters performed running water shuttle evolutions, advanced hose deployment drills, and improved aerial operations using the department's ladder truck. They also rehearsed water shuttle operations between a tanker and portable dump tank.
Coordination, communication, and ensuring a steady supply of water in places without municipal hydrants were the key topics of discussion. Frequent training ensures that firemen are ready to respond safely and effectively to emergencies throughout the Warren community by enhancing operational efficiency, fostering teamwork, and maintaining skill with critical equipment.
