Waitsfield-Fayston Firefighters Practiced Hose Deployment

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Waitsfield, VT. — July 8 — A company training session on effective hose deployment and appropriate hose repacking was held by the Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department, located at 4103 Main St. To make sure the hose was prepared for the next emergency, firefighters trained swiftly removing attack lines, moving them into place, and reloading it following conventional procedures.

The exercise reinforced safe fireground operations while emphasizing speed, organization, collaboration, and equipment familiarity. During structural fires, firefighters can deploy lines more quickly and with fewer delays when hose is packed properly. When responding to incidents in the Waitsfield and Fayston communities, firefighters may maintain operational readiness, increase efficiency, and guaranty consistent performance with regular hands-on training.
