On August 1, the Portland Fire Department honored individuals for their years of service to the community by commemorating the 15th anniversary of Recruit Class 2011-19.

On August 1, 2011, recruits swore an oath to serve Portland's citizens and visitors, marking the start of the class's fire service careers. Members of the class have reacted to numerous situations over the last 15 years while exhibiting professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to the department's goal.

Department representatives honored Recruit Class 2011–19 members for their 15 years of devoted service to the Portland community and congratulated them on attaining the milestone.
