On July 20, the Revere Fire Department thanked the hundreds of attendees and the organizations that contributed to the event's safety as it wrapped up its public safety operations for the three-day Revere Beach International Sand Sculpting Festival.
Firefighters used utility vehicles, bicycles, rescue boats, and foot patrols to monitor the area during the festival in order to help spectators and provide emergency coverage. To coordinate public safety operations, the agency collaborated with the Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts agency of Fire Services, Revere Police Department, Cataldo Ambulance Service, and Metro North Regional Emergency Communications Center.
