Mashpee, MA — Aug. 3 — FF/EMT Josh Vinitsky and FF/EMT Gabe Tellez were sworn in as the newest career firefighters by the Mashpee Fire Department, located at 20 Frank Hicks Drive. Both Mashpee locals brought emergency response knowledge to their new positions from their time as call firemen. Tellez added advanced EMS skills to the department by completing paramedic training.

The appointments increased staffing for community-wide public safety initiatives, emergency medical services, fire suppression, and rescue operations. During the event, department officials greeted the new members and stated that their local connections and experience reinforced the department's ongoing dedication to offering Mashpee citizens dependable emergency services.
