On July 28, Pownal Fire Department members divided into two groups for their training night, which focused on community service and firefighter readiness.
In preparation for the forthcoming Firefighter I course, one crew rehearsed donning turnout gear and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), strengthening fundamental skills and developing proficiency. In the meantime, another crew finished voluntary work for Mack Molding, a nearby company.
