During their monthly drill on July 28, members of the Manchester Fire Department reinforced the skills necessary to safely rescue occupants from crashed automobiles by conducting vehicle extrication training.

Using a donated car, firefighters rehearsed a range of extrication tactics, giving personnel practical training with rescue equipment and patient access protocols.

The department thanked Jason Hewes of Paul's Towing and Auto for donating the car, emphasizing the importance of community support in giving volunteer firemen worthwhile training opportunities.
