Newport - The 124th annual conference and meetings of the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firefighters Association were held at this location. This coincided with the 100th Anniversary of the Citizens F.Co.No.1. There were week long events some of which included an apparatus display, a banquet and ending on Saturday Aug 2 with a firefighter's parade. Units from Perry County and the multi-state Association rigs participated in the parade.
