Camden, ME — July 22 — To improve boat and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations, Camden Fire & Rescue, located at 31 Washington Street, held a nighttime training exercise on a nearby lake. In a controlled setting, firefighters rehearsed synchronized maritime response, aerial monitoring, and communication. The drill strengthened teamwork and reaffirmed protocols for search and rescue operations in the water.

Drone technology combined with boat operators improved situational awareness and assisted rescuers in assessing circumstances from the air and the water. Frequent training with specialized equipment guarantees that crews are ready to respond to incidents on Camden's lakes and other recreational waterways and helps firemen maintain operational preparedness.
