Albany, NY - The Wellsville NY Volunteer Fire Department conducted a training session for junior members focused on skills from the New York State Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations (BEFO) program.

Training included scene safety and traffic control practices, ladder identification and deployment, and SCBA familiarization, including equipment handling and bottle changes. Wellsville 1 was utilized to provide a hands-on learning environment for the evolutions.

The session helped reinforce essential fundamentals, giving junior firefighters valuable experience while continuing to build confidence, knowledge, and operational readiness.
