Bethpage, N.Y. — July 11 — Officers for the 2026 term were sworn into their leadership roles during the annual Installation Dinner of the Bethpage Fire Department, located at 225 Broadway, Bethpage, NY 11714. John Fitzwilliam, Josh Ganshaw, and Michael Trimarco were appointed assistant chiefs, and Peter Castellano was named Chief of Department. Lieutenants and company captains also took the oath of office.

The department honored Honorary Deputy leader Hank Suhr Jr. for 50 years of devoted service and celebrated former Chief Francis DeBobes Jr. for his tenure as departing leader. The event emphasized tradition, leadership, and the department's ongoing dedication to helping the Bethpage neighborhood.
