Members of the Bareville Fire Company congratulated Captain Philip Sauder on his certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) on June 13.
According to officials, the certification increases the amount of qualified EMS providers on hand to give quick medical attention, strengthening the department's emergency medical response capabilities. During emergency situations, EMTs are essential in evaluating patients, administering life-saving care, and assisting firefighters.
Department heads expressed gratitude to New Holland EMS for organizing yet another effective EMT training course.
