A view from the top. News Copter 4 and the tip of Carlstadt Truck 1's ladder pipe above a multiple-alarm fire involving a Washington av. commercial building, May 8th. The huge column of smoke over the metropolitan area drew numerous news helicopters to the Meadowlands. North Hudson Fire Dispatch transmitted alarms of fire for smoke before it was discovered that the fire was in Carlstadt.
