Multi-Agency Drill Focuses on DUI Prevention

Colesville, NY — April 21st — Along with the Beemerville Fire Department, Sussex Fire & EMS, High Point EMS, St. Clare's Paramedics, and the New Jersey State Police, Colesville Fire Company took part in the Every 15 Minutes program for a high school safety program on drunk driving. The program illustrates the effects of driving after intoxication by staging a car accident in which students play the victims.


Law police and emergency personnel mimic a complete reaction, including patient care and the arrest of the drunk driver. To emphasize the repercussions, one participant is depicted as a deadly victim. These initiatives are frequently used around the country to encourage young drivers' awareness and prevention. The event supported community education initiatives while showcasing well-coordinated operations.
