The East Brooklyn Fire Department honored the commitment of its members and mutual assistance partners during National Volunteer Week.

The dedication of volunteers who consistently answer calls, receive training, and keep improving their skills to help the community was emphasized by officials. Volunteer firefighters, who frequently juggle service with obligations to their families and jobs, are essential to ensuring emergency response coverage.

Noting the value of regional cooperation during emergencies, the agency also thanked nearby volunteer organizations for their ongoing support of one another.
