Merrimack, NH - Merrimack Fire Rescue’s D shift members recently conducted auto extrication training at the Reeds Ferry Fire Station, reinforcing critical rescue skills during routine station time.

Using hands-on scenarios, firefighters practiced vehicle stabilization, tool deployment, and patient access techniques—key components in safely and efficiently removing occupants from damaged vehicles.

These evolutions help ensure crews remain prepared for the complex challenges often encountered at motor vehicle accidents.

Training like this highlights how on-duty personnel continuously refine their skills throughout the day, making the most of time between emergency responses to stay ready for when the next call comes in.
