Pennington, N.J. — December 8 — Reports of a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 295 northbound prompted the Pennington Fire Company, situated at 120 Broemel Place, to react. When personnel arrived, they verified that a single car had collided with a tree, split into two pieces, and landed more than a hundred feet apart.
In addition to performing patient access and extrication, firefighters guarded the area. After being taken out of the car, the driver was taken to Capital Health for a medical assessment. Station 33, Station 30, Ambulance 154, and Ambulance 139 helped with the task. The rapid completion of operations was made possible by the fire and EMS units' coordinated efforts, which also demonstrated the value of mutual aid in complicated traffic situations.
