West Amwell Township, N.J. — December 6 — The West Amwell Township tree lighting ceremony at the township building was sponsored by the Lambertville-based West Amwell Fire Company STA26. When Utility 26 with Marine 26, Engine 26, and Squad 26 made a special stop to bring Santa and Mrs. Claus to the celebration, members were already assigned to the event. The holiday visitors' presence enhanced the evening's activities and brought families together for the yearly custom.

Members of the fire department helped organize the event and were on hand for the duration. Residents can engage with local firefighters outside of emergency situations by taking part in community events like tree lighting, which also demonstrates the department's continued support of township activities outside of fire and rescue operations.
