Union Township, N.J. — December 7 — The Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company Station 25, which is situated at 513 County Route 614 in Asbury, commemorated the events of 1941 and the people who died in the attack on Pearl Harbour.

Members of the emergency services community use the anniversary as an opportunity to consider their responsibilities, readiness, and ability to serve others. Firefighters and other first responders are still guided by the principles of preparedness and teamwork, which are still emphasized on December 7. Departments across the nation take a moment on this day to pay tribute to the past while continuing to concentrate on their current duties. Recalling the past strengthens the resolve to defend people and property and to respond to calls for assistance whenever necessary.
