Over the weekend, members of the Tobyhanna Township Volunteer Fire Company had the chance to participate in two Christmas activities that helped the community celebrate the beginning of the season. Station 41 was there at the Pocono Pines Clymer Library's holiday tree lighting on Friday night. The yearly event, which brought together families and community partners, was open to members as well as locals. Firefighters were present for the Blakeslee Community Center's holiday tree lighting on Saturday night. Crews had a great time celebrating the season and interacting with people of all ages in the neighborhood. Station 41 noted that participating in community events remains an important part of building strong local connections and supporting the neighborhoods they serve.
