This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

A brand-new Ambulance 47, constructed on a 2025 Ford diesel F-550 chassis with a Lifeline patient care module, was put into duty by officers and personnel of Monroeville Fire Department Company #4. The former A47, a 2016 Ford F-550 that was taken out of service in May, had the ambulance box restored and reinstalled.

In order to facilitate future remounts, department heads stated that the objective has been to run three similar units since the acquisition of A48. When compared to manufacturing a new ambulance, remounting offers a more economical solution and greatly shortens turnaround time. Fleet replacements are required sooner because of wear and mileage as call volume continues to increase. The department thanked Pfund Superior Sales Inc, Elite Ambulance Sales, and thechiguyspgh for their assistance in completing the project
